Capacity Trucks Founded
Capacity Trucks was founded in 1974 and since that time has set the standard in durable, hardworking yard trucks.

Dura-Ride® Introduced
In 1990, Capacity Trucks introduced DURA-RIDE®, an independent rear air spring suspension system that isolates the entire tractor, cab and cargo from road shock, greatly reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

CNG Truck Launch
We’ve been leading the path to zero emissions since 2010 with the launch of our CNG yard truck.
2010
First Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Yard Truck
Capacity Trucks was the first North American manufacturer to build a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric yard truck from the ground up in 2021. The original truck was designed for a grant project.
2021
The Next Generation of Yard Trucks
In 2023, Capacity introduced its new zero emissions line of yard trucks for production. This includes the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric (H²) yard truck and the Battery Electric (EV) yard truck.
