ALL-STEEL CAB
Capacity’s terminal trucks are built with a best-in-class all-steel cab that’s stronger and safer than fiberglass cabs. The platform can be replaced separately from the cab, making it easier to repair. Customers can choose from several options including various cab heights, a skylight so drivers can see what’s overhead and a side door that can be used for emergencies or service access. The rear cab door was redesigned to be wider (26 in.) for ease of operation, increased reliability and simpler repair and replacement. With both tilt and telescopic steering, the Capacity cab provides an added degree of driver comfort.
NEW DASH
The redesigned Capacity dash features a large digital display that provides drivers with enhanced ergonomics and views of the yard truck’s systems and functionality.
The digital display is designed with a special, indestructible glass that enhances durability, longevity and reliability.
FULLY WELDED FRAME WITH 7-YEAR WARRANTY
Capacity terminal trucks are built with a highly robust fully welded frame made from heavy-duty C-channels. This durable design provides a 57% greater Resisting Bending Moment (RBM) than competitive huck-bolted frames, allowing the frame to flex more without creating a permanent bend.
With its heavy-duty design, the Capacity frame is strong enough to protect drivers, unlike competitor frames that require head racks to safeguard against falling objects.
DURA-RIDE®
In 1990, Capacity Trucks introduced DURA-RIDE®, an independent rear air spring suspension system that isolates the entire tractor, cab and cargo from road shock. Available as an option on our TJ 5000 and TJ 9000 yard trucks, it greatly reduces maintenance costs and downtime by providing a smoother ride—an advantage both for operators and for the integrity of the terminal truck.
DURA-RIDE’s unique design consists of an A-shaped sub-frame, hydraulic lift cylinders, shock absorbers, air springs and a leveling valve. The front apex of the sub-frame is attached to the yard truck frame by a universally pivoting or swivel bearing, and the backend of the A-frame is rigidly connected to the tractor’s rear axle. The two-inch swivel pairing allows the axle to oscillate relative to the main frame and the fifth wheel.

CapacityVision™ is an innovative technology solution to monitor the performance of terminal trucks that operate at ports, warehouses and distribution centers. It takes real-time data collected through Geotab and distills the information, providing key insights about fleet performance and fleet management solutions to improve business operations. Fleet managers and dealers are delivered direct access to OEM-grade vehicle manufacturing data that can help improve fleet efficiency and driver behavior. Data includes preventative maintenance, asset utilization/dwell time, Cummins Diagnostics, fuel economy, harsh kingpin alerts and driver productivity.
